The Napkin Squiggle

Dolly drew a squiggle. Your turn.

A two-minute warm-up for your imagination. New squiggle every night at midnight Eastern.

Dolly's napkin

When my brother and I were kids, waiting for dinner at a restaurant could feel like forever. So our mom, Dolly, would pick up a pen, draw a squiggle on a napkin and slide it across the table.

Our job was to turn it into something with a pencil. Anything.

The Napkin Squiggle is Dolly's game, shared with everyone. A new squiggle arrives every night at midnight Eastern: a two-minute warm-up for your imagination. You don't have to be an artist. If you can see something in a squiggle, you can draw it.

Hang it on the wall

We look at every drawing before it goes up. Our favorite might be in tomorrow's post.
